Five Cornell PhD students have received Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad awards, with support from the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies.

“If you block peaceful politics, then you make room for unpeaceful politics,” said a presenter at the Sept. 9 conference at Cornell.

The government of Chile announced a national search plan to find the remains of people who disappeared under the country’s military rule from 1973 to 1990.

“The Einaudi Center is thrilled to be working with a visionary set of program directors who nurture Cornell’s global engagement and enrich area studies through deep links to colleagues, students, citizens and organizations across the globe,” said Einaudi Center director Rachel Beatty Riedl. “Our leadership team provides a strong foundation to build dynamic partnerships in research and education.”

This summer, Cornell welcomed six PhD students from Imperial College London to the Ithaca and Cornell Tech campuses as part of Imperial's Global Fellows Fund.

With the support of Cornell Global Hubs joint seed grants, researchers are building international connections and advancing their research. 

The annual International Fair showcases Cornell's global opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, including international majors and minors, language study, study abroad, funding opportunities, global internships, and more.

Cornell faculty and staff traveled to Global Hubs locations in the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Australia to explore reciprocal student mobility, collaborative faculty research, and teaching opportunities.

Nearly 200 new first-year and transfer students from 49 countries participated in Prepare, a virtual and in-person preorientation for international undergraduates, offered by the Office of Global Learning, part of Global Cornell.

A cohort of 25 Mandela Washington Fellows spent the summer on campus developing their leadership and expertise - in a program they said will have enduring impact on their lives and work.
