International Committee

The committee is charged with identifying strategic initiatives and setting priorities to advance the university's global mission.

Cornell University is an international community of students, staff, and faculty, and alumni. The university has welcomed international students and faculty since its founding and has engaged in meaningful work abroad for over 100 years. This work spans all disciplines and most countries of the world. The university strives to maintain a consistent, principled, and strategic approach to international affairs but recognizes a diversity of experiences, perspectives, and opinions. Given increasing geopolitical tensions and regulations worldwide and concerns about best practices at home and abroad, the International Committee (IC) offers strategic guidance, expertise, and support to the Office of the Vice Provost of International Affairs (OVPIA) as well as to university leadership more broadly.
