Kalaniyot is a faculty-led initiative established in the aftermath of October 7, 2023, by academics who recognized a renewed responsibility to preserve universities as inclusive and welcoming environments for students and scholars of all backgrounds.
The initiative joins a growing network of efforts aimed at reaffirming higher education’s mission to advance knowledge through the free exchange of ideas. Kalaniyot focuses on rebuilding and sustaining international academic collaboration, particularly between Israeli and U.S.-based academic communities.
Open Now: Applications for Israeli sabbatical scholars to conduct research at Cornell in any discipline are open through April 1. Learn more.
