Global Cornell Communications Team
The communications team within the Office of the Vice Provost for International Affairs (OVPIA) advances Global Cornell’s mission through strategic storytelling, branding, and digital engagement. We work across units to strengthen relationships with stakeholders on campus and around the world by creating memorable branding and consistent, accurate, and appealing content about Global Cornell’s initiatives and people.
Our portfolio includes multimedia storytelling, news and feature writing, website strategy and management, social media, and collaboration with campus media outlets and communicators across Cornell. The team supports eight websites and four social media channels, ensuring consistent branding and accessible, audience-focused content across platforms.

Who We Are
Elise Gold, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications
Elise Gold leads communications strategy for Global Cornell. She oversees branding, strategic planning, and portfolio-wide project management, and partners with units to strengthen messaging and advance best practices.
Sheri Englund, Senior Associate Director of Communications
Sheri Englund serves as editorial director and leads communications for the Einaudi Center and the Office of Global Learning. She oversees news, feature content, and strategic storytelling across platforms.
Brad Alderman, Web Content Manager
Brad Alderman manages web strategy, content development, and optimization across the OVPIA web portfolio, ensuring clarity, consistency, and a strong user experience.
Megan DeMint, New Media Manager
Megan DeMint leads social media strategy and oversees student-facing communications initiatives that expand engagement with Global Cornell programs, activities, and initiatives.
