Dear international students,

Please see the following updates and reminders on coming events and opportunities:

1. President Pollack’s in support of international students

Read the recent message from President Pollack regarding the recent ICE guidelines and the measures that Cornell and institutional peers are taking to change ICE’s stance and advocate for international students.

2. Fall Activation International Town Hall – Thursday, July 9 at 8:00 AM EDT

See below for further details on the event and required registration.

3. Webinar: ICE's SEVP Guidance for International Students and Higher Education – Friday, July 10 at 2:00 PM EDT

Cornell Law School’s Professor Stephen Yale-Loehr will participate on a briefing to addresses the recent ICE guidance. Speakers will explain what we know and don't know about the new guidance, share crucial campus and student perspectives, and discuss potential litigation and advocacy opportunities. The webinar is free but registration is required.

4. Study Away

For international students that will not be able to get back to our New York campuses this fall, we have worked with partners worldwide to arrange a handful of in-residence options in different regions. Participating in the Study Away program is optional: students may return to Cornell if they can do so or study remotely in their home country without participating in a residential Study Away program. The application deadline is July 10 at midnight (EDT). You can find further details and a list of frequently asked questions on Study Away
