Hubs provide a collaborative platform for thematic research areas based on Cornell's and our Global Hubs partner's academic strengths and local contexts.

Global Grand Challenges Symposium

More than 300 faculty, staff, and students from Cornell and Global Hubs partners gathered Nov. 16–17 to discuss ideas for the next universitywide Global Grand Challenge. The symposium followed the inaugural Global Hubs Network Meeting

Sites can focus on multiple themes, including but not limited to:

  • Big Data, AI, and New Media
  • Democratic Challenges and Change
  • Future Cities
  • Inequalities and Social Justice
  • Migration and Mobilities
  • One Health
  • Sustainable Development

Global Hubs Salon Series

This spring, the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies hosted a series of eight interdisciplinary Global Hubs salons on a variety of research themes representing cross-college strengths at Cornell and our Hubs partners. The salons featured Cornell faculty hosts in conversation with faculty representing partner institutions.
