Global Hubs Network Inaugural Meeting

Transcript

The inaugural Global Hubs Network Meeting was held in Ithaca, New York, on November 16–17, 2022. Global Cornell welcomed partners from 16 universities around the world to the Cornell campus.

Panels of Cornell faculty, staff, and Hubs partners mapped out obstacles and opportunities for supported, equitable global research collaborations and student exchanges. Lively Q&A followed each panel presentation:

  • Conversation with the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies: Ethos and Practices of Global Collaboration
  • Building Collaborative Research: Models, Ideas, and Impact
  • Student Mobility, Engagement, and Online Learning—Models and Innovation
  • How Do We Measure Success of Strategic International Partnerships?

The network meeting was followed by the Global Grand Challenges Symposium: Frontiers and the Future, where expert panels and audience input focused on some of the world's most urgent challenges and how we can work together to address them.

"In both our education and our research, it’s a priority for us to support the connections and collaborations that will sustain a globally diverse culture throughout the Cornell community and also help build a stronger global ecosystem of higher education." ~President Martha E. Pollack
