Global Hubs Network

Global Hubs connect all of Cornell—students, faculty, staff, and international alumni—with world-class peer universities. And these Cornell connections are just the beginning: our Hubs partners join a vibrant network of transnational research and learning opportunities, collaborating with other Hubs universities and Cornell.

The network's multilateral engagement makes Global Hubs unique—and powerfully effective. Hubs build the kind of strong, long-term international relationships that create understanding, meaningful results, and lasting change.

Cultivating Worldwide Relationships

Hubs Network Meetings

Global Hubs hold annual research network meetings in Ithaca and at Hubs locations worldwide. These in-person meetings bring us together for topical and planning workshops, panel discussions, themed affinity group meetings, and work on joint research projects. Our collaborations continue virtually and with partner visits throughout the year.

At the first-ever Global Hubs network meeting, representatives from Hubs partner institutions shared their excitement about working together to meet the world's urgent challenges.

Hubs Affinity Groups

Global Hubs foster collaboration through affinity groups that connect faculty and professionals across the Hubs network. Weill Cornell Medicine organized the first affinity group focused on medical schools, and since then the groups have expanded:

  • Medical schools
  • Women's health
  • Sustainable tourism
  • Research security
  • Engaged learning
  • Student mobility

Affinity groups meet regularly, both virtually and in person—most recently at the November 2024 Global Hubs network meeting, cohosted by King’s College London. The groups deepen multilateral collaboration among Global Hubs partners and amplify the impact of our shared initiatives.
