Visiting Scholars - School of Divinity, Edinburgh
Each year the School of Divinity awards several Visiting Scholar positions.
We invite enquiries and applications for our non-stipendiary visiting scholar positions from academics of postdoctoral standing at other universities who wish to spend a period of time (between 1 and 12 months) at the School of Divinity in order to conduct high-quality research. The fee is £200 per calendar month or part thereof, or £2400 per calendar year, payable in advance.
Although we are unable to offer any financial support or funding to visiting scholars, access to library and computing facilities is available. Owing to limited capacity, we cannot offer a dedicated office or desk, but comfortable study space is available in a range of locations including the New College library.
Visiting scholars may participate in research seminars and attend any public lectures offered in the School of Divinity. However, a visiting scholar position does not provide access to classes and courses, nor enrolment on any taught programme. All visiting scholars are expected to observe university policies related to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
The application should be received at least two months before the date on which the fellowship would begin.
