Sydney Mathematical Research Institute - International Visitor Program (4-8 weeks): an enriching experience for fellow mathematical scientists, fostering collaboration on a global scale. This visitor program serves to connect mathematicians from diverse corners of the world to engage in meaningful discussion, exchange knowledge and ideas, and establish lasting connections with researchers in Australia. Successful applicants may receive funding of up to A$1200 per week, up to a maximum of 12 weeks (paid in installments), to assist with accommodation during their visit. In addition, successful applicants may obtain reimbursement for one visa application fee, and one return economy airfare up to a set maximum, depending on the country of origin. Where academics are traveling with dependents, aged 0-17 at the time of the proposed visit, an additional family allowance will be calculated as a percentage of the agreed living allowance and based on the number of weeks the family stays in Australia (regardless of the number of dependents). If required, SMRI staff can provide information on local accommodation and transport, as well as childcare and school options for those traveling with children.
